Over the past year members of EWC conscientiously collected overwrap plastics in order to recognize our fragile environment and to accumulate over five hundred pounds for a community bench. We exceeded the goal and are preparing to install the bench for community enjoyment. In addition, due to the fact that we are surrounded by water and have many fishermen, EWC members and volunteers built bins and installed them in the community for recycling of fishing line and hooks. We also learned about care for stranded turtles in the region through a fascinating program at a monthly meeting. EWC members expressed interest in assisting in that fascinating program.

 ""

Donated through Trex Recycling Program by the Edenton Woman’s Club 2023

 ""

Reel In and Recycling Bin to collect and recycle fishing line, 2023

 ""

Mary Ervin, 2023 EWC 2nd Vice President, and Dotti Wahlers, 2023 Chairman, at the installation of our first Reel In and Recycle Bin, 2023
